Saddle stitching

Saddle stitching is the simplest form of document binding. Pages are folded in half to form the booklet and two staples are inserted into the fold line to hold it all together.
Saddle stitching is perfect for booklets that have only a small amount of pages, like workbooks, catalogues and programs.

Perfect Binding

Perfect binding is most commonly seen in paperback books.
The pages are clamped together and thermal glue is applied to the spine, then a cover is folded round the pages and glued into place.
Perfect bound booklets have a very refined to look and a perfect for manuals, educational material, one-off books.

Tape Binding

Tape binding is a variation of perfect binding giving similar look. The pages of the document are clamped together then a strip of cloth tape with a themal glue binds the spine together. The thermal glue strongly bonds the pages together. This gives the book a strong flat spine.
You might choose tape binding over perfect binding becuase of the faster turnaround time and that it does not require a wraparound cover to be designed.
Tape binding is perfect for educational material, catalogues and coursework.

Wire-binding is one of the most popular forms of binding for small-run jobs.
Pages have a series of holes punched along their edge, they are then inserted onto a wire binding comb which is then pressed closed holding all pages in place.
Wire binding is perfect for thesis drafts, specifications and workbooks.
To increase the durability of wire-bound booklets a clear acrylic cover and black card back is added to each document at no extra cost.
